I can make a simular sound if I whack the control arm on the bottom with the palm of my hand. Since a tech has checked out the front end I'm not worried but still want to source the problem.

I've read through tons of information on this forum and mine ended up being different. I have a 2017 2500 6.7 diesel with 40,000 miles on it. Last week I noticed a clunking noise coming from the driver side, right under my feet. No problems on the lift in 4 high or low. Turning the wheels left and right. Of course there is no load at this point. This was with the front drive shaft in and out to isolate the transfer case. On the road it clunks in turns and not on the straight away. I am going to check the ride height on the torsion bars.
